Welcome to Camp!

Fucking it up respectfully and responsibly since 2015

Camp Fuckitup is a collection of Bay Area friends and extended families, who gather yearly to dance, play, laugh, and remind ourselves that it’s fun when things get a bit messy. Our goal is to create a space where we come together as an inclusive and supportive community, to celebrate our creative passions and all-around silliness. All talents are welcome. We invite our campers to take a chance and engage others in whimsical fun, taking ownership and shaping our collective camp culture. This is your Camp Fuckitup. Jump in.

Camp Values

  • Participation

YOU are what makes camp great! Who you are, what you bring, and how we share ourselves is the magic that is Camp. Don't sit aside and just let Camp happen to you, get in there and participate! If you aren't sure how to bring an interactive experience to the event, you will have ample opportunities to sign up to volunteer.

  • Respect

We pride ourselves on our community values of respect and self determination. We take violation of these values and of others’ personal boundaries extremely seriously. Camp FIU’s zero tolerance policy dictates that anyone who engages in unwanted behavior (verbal or physical) toward another camper will be immediately ejected from the event and barred from future attendance. Consent is sexy.

  • Self-Reliance

Campers are expected to be responsible for themselves, their own behavior, and their reactions to whatever might come up during the event. We, your Counselor team, pledge to try and maintain a safe and inclusive space for you to party in, but recognize that you hold ultimate responsibility. That means managing your own health, safety, and well-being in ways that extend beyond the limits of what we can assure. Bring ample food and water, monitor your body, keep relationship drama in check, rest when you need to, and reach out for support from your camp mates. We'll help where we can, but taking care of Number 1 should be your Job #1.

  • Leave No Trace

We are guests of Mendocino Magic and we insist campers tread lightly on our borrowed land. The site has rules regarding camping and noise that you will be expected to follow during the event. Be kind to the staff and your fellow campers.

Don't bring glass to the beach or have campfires. Check out our awesome Lost & Found program and don't leave anything behind. Join us on Sunday morning for a MOOP walk so we can leave the campground better than we found it.
